Volkswagen Anhui's 100,000th Smart Electric Vehicle Rolls Off the Production Line at Hefei Plant

On August 18, Volkswagen Anhui announced that its 100,000th smart electric vehicle officially rolled off the production line at its Hefei plant. The model that marked this milestone is the ID. with 08.
It is reported that since commencing mass production in February 2024, Volkswagen Anhui has completed the leap from the export of its first pure electric model, the TAVASCAN, to the production of its 100,000th vehicle in just over two years.
Currently, the ID. with 06, 07, and 08 models under Volkswagen Anhui have been launched successively. The ID. with 09, positioned as a B-segment smart pure electric coupe, is also scheduled to make its debut later this year.
Data shows that Volkswagen Anhui was established in 2020 as a joint venture between Volkswagen Group and Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (JAC Motors). It is Volkswagen Group's first joint venture in China dedicated exclusively to new energy vehicles.
According to the latest data from Volkswagen Anhui, the company delivered 2,149 units in July, representing a year-on-year increase of 170%.
