Mahindra Last Mile Mobility reaching 400,000 commercial EVs shows the Indian last-mile segment leading the country's EV adoption curve

Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited has become India’s first commercial electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer to reach 400,000 cumulative EV sales, having led the electric commercial vehicle segment in India for four consecutive financial years. The milestone covers passenger and cargo last-mile segments across products including the Treo range, Zor Grand, ZEO and e-Alfa.

The 400,000 vehicles have collectively travelled more than 9 billion kilometres, helping avoid approximately 185,000 metric tonnes of CO₂ emissions, the equivalent of planting 8.3 million trees. Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited (MLMML) attributes adoption to an economic rationale: its EVs improved customers’ daily earnings and business outcomes before the climate benefits followed naturally.

MLMML focuses on three-wheelers and small commercial vehicles serving India’s last-mile economy, including drivers, delivery partners and small business owners. Backed by investments in products, partnerships, financing and customer support, the company is working towards putting one million EVs on the road by 2031.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Suman Mishra described the milestone as representing the livelihoods of drivers and entrepreneurs who chose electric vehicles each day. She said the company’s focus remained on building better products, strengthening the ecosystem and making electric mobility accessible for every last-mile customer.
