INDO-MIM income up 29% as manufacturing begins at new Chennai plant

INDO-MIM Limited, headquartered in Bengaluru, India, has published its Annual Report for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, reporting total income of ₹36.58 billion (approx. USD 381 million), up 29.08% from ₹28.34 billion (approx. USD 295 million) in the previous year. Revenue from operations was ₹35.40 billion (approx. USD 369 million), compared with ₹27.95 billion (approx. USD 291 million) in FY2025.
The report also states that manufacturing operations have commenced at the company’s new plant in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. INDO-MIM’s Metal Injection Moulding operations are primarily undertaken at its facilities in Bengaluru, while its investment casting operations are based in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.
Profit before tax increased 35.17% to ₹7.37 billion (approx. USD 76.8 million), compared with ₹5.45 billion (approx. USD 56.8 million) in FY2025. Profit after tax rose 36.05% to ₹5.49 billion (approx. USD 57.2 million), up from ₹4.04 billion (approx. USD 42.1 million). Profit before tax as a proportion of gross revenue increased to 20.13%, from 19.23%, while the corresponding figure for profit after tax increased to 15.00%, from 14.24%.
INDO-MIM states that it operates more than one million square feet of manufacturing floor space and has the world’s largest installed capacity for Metal Injection Moulding. The company reports more than 650 customers globally, over eighty-five material options and more than 10,000 parts in its portfolio. It supplies customers in more than forty-five countries across the Americas, Europe and Asia.
The company also reports shipping more than 300 million parts annually across five continents. During FY2026, foreign-exchange earnings totalled ₹25.26 billion (approx. USD 263 million), while foreign-exchange expenditure was ₹10.22 billion (approx. USD 106 million).
The annual report details a number of efficiency improvements at INDO-MIM’s Hoskote MIM facility. Average sintering cycle times were reduced by 30%, resulting in a reported 10% reduction in energy consumption per sintering charge. The company also states that solar power accounted for approximately 96% of total energy consumption at the facility. At its Doddaballapur facility, approximately 98% of electricity consumed was reported to come from renewable sources, principally solar and wind.
INDO-MIM’s research and development activities during the year focused on material and process development, process improvements, cost reduction, supplier diversification and substitution, and the adoption of new technologies. Revenue expenditure on R&D totalled ₹21.5 million (approx. USD 224,000).
