Automobile Exports from Ningbo Port Exceed 36.9 Billion Yuan in First Seven Months, with New Energy Vehicles Accounting for Over 80%

According to statistics from Ningbo Customs, in the first seven months of 2026, the total export value of automobiles from Ningbo Port reached 36.962 billion yuan, with an export volume of 368,800 units, representing year-on-year increases of 68% and 72.99%, respectively. Among these, the export value of new energy vehicles (NEVs) reached 30.034 billion yuan, with an export volume of 263,500 units, surging by 98.55% and 100% year-on-year, respectively. NEVs accounted for 81% of the total automobile export value.
In terms of export markets, Brazil, the European Union, and the United Arab Emirates have consistently ranked as the top three destinations for automobile exports from Ningbo Port in terms of cargo value. Meanwhile, export demand has surged in emerging markets such as Jordan and ASEAN, indicating a continuously diversified market layout.
Zhang Peng, Deputy General Manager of CITIC Port International Logistics Co., Ltd., stated that in the first seven months of this year, the company's NEV exports loaded in containers at its yard increased by more than 80% year-on-year, with significant order growth in markets such as Germany and Belgium.
Regarding the logistics network, the Ningbo Meishan Ro-Ro Terminal launched a new deep-sea Ro-Ro shipping route connecting "Ningbo-Italy-Spain" this month, further densifying the deep-sea logistics network of the Ningbo-Zhoushan Port.
In terms of customs clearance, Ningbo Customs has implemented a "one-stop" supervision model for automobile exports. By integrating inspection and container loading processes to enable operations at the same site, and comprehensively promoting the "arrival and direct loading" facilitation model, the circulation efficiency of automobile exports has been significantly improved.
