Frequently Asked Questions
Which soft magnetic alloys can be processed by MIM?
We mold FeSi3.5, FeSi6.5, FeCo and FeNi soft magnetic alloys. These combine high permeability with good soft magnetic performance, and are widely used in TWS earphones and electronic components where complex magnetic geometries are needed.
Why use MIM for soft magnetic parts instead of machining or laminations?
MIM forms three-dimensional magnetic paths — rings, poles and thin ribs — in one shot, which is difficult for lamination stacks and uneconomical for machining. Sintered relative density of ≥ 98% keeps permeability high, and near-net-shape forming avoids the material waste of subtractive routes.
How do you verify the magnetic performance?
Our lab is equipped with a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) for hysteresis-loop and magnetization measurement, alongside SEM, XRD and XRF for microstructure and composition control. Magnetic targets are agreed with the customer per part and checked batch by batch.
