Weilai, a leading manufacturer of metal 3D printing powder materials, has secured a new 100 million RMB financing round, bringing its total cumulative financing to nearly 800 million RMB.

On October 11, 2026, according to a report by Nanji Xiong, Weilai recently completed its C+ round equity financing. Jiangsu Guotou and Suneng Shares made a targeted combined investment of 100 million RMB. The funds will be primarily directed toward the construction of the fourth phase of the Jiangsu Weilai New Material Industrial Park and the R&D and iteration of new materials and equipment. The company is also about to initiate preparations for its D round of equity financing. The D round plans to raise between 300 million and 500 million RMB, which will further consolidate its 10,000-ton production capacity foundation and accelerate various preliminary preparations for an IPO.

As a national-level "Little Giant" enterprise with specialized, refined, differential, and innovative capabilities, as well as an outstanding enterprise in the science and technology reform demonstration, the company has completed multiple rounds of capital relay, with a total cumulative financing amount of nearly 800 million RMB. In December 2025, the company completed a C round financing of nearly 310 million RMB, setting the record for the largest single financing in the domestic metal 3D printing materials sector that year, with a post-investment valuation reaching 2.11 billion RMB. In 2026, the company successfully completed the additional C+ round financing, continuously expanding its capital lineup and building a solid financial guarantee for capacity expansion.

Currently, the third-phase project's "unmanned factory" has been put into production. The third-phase project is equipped with more than 10 EIGA production lines. Relying on the DCS centralized control system and the new-generation MES system, it achieves full-process automated management and refined traceability. The CNAS testing center has also been simultaneously expanded and upgraded to precisely match the stringent demands for material performance in terminal scenarios such as 3C electronics and semiconductors. The third phase has added production lines for cluster zero-carbon titanium recycling, high-precision MIM injection feedstock preparation, and RDA centrifugal atomization preparation, building a manufacturing matrix with multi-process synergy. Among these, the cluster zero-carbon titanium recycling technology continues to promote the industrial application of titanium alloy circular recycling, which will significantly broaden the supply capacity in the fields of complex component forming and special micro-fine powders, forming a full-chain solution. The delivery capacity of core products such as titanium alloys, high-temperature alloys, and special aluminum alloys continues to improve, and the supply scale for sectors including aerospace, commercial space, new energy, 3C electronics, AI cooling, embodied robots, and medical implants is steadily growing.

The fourth-phase project (Jiangsu Weilai New Material Industrial Park) is being accelerated. The project is being constructed strictly according to the "lights-out factory" standard, planning to add an annual production capacity of 3,000 tons of titanium, 5,000 tons of copper, 2,000 tons of aluminum, and other key powder materials such as high-strength steel. The project will further expand the scaled delivery capacity of high-end metal powder materials, focusing on the development of aluminum-based and copper-based metal powders. It will also accelerate the implementation of AI scenarios in material R&D and production processes, expand and deepen domestic and international service networks, and deeply match the explosive demand continuously released by high-end application scenarios.

Building on the successful closure of the C+ round, Weilai is about to launch its D round of equity financing. The D round plans to raise 300 to 500 million RMB, and the funds will be mainly used in three major directions: first, continuing to expand the intelligent production lines for high-end alloy powders, filling the capacity gap in segmented special alloys, and amplifying the advantages of the 10,000-ton-level industrial cluster; second, increasing R&D investment in frontier materials, laying out special metal powders for next-generation AI cooling, 3C electronics, semiconductors, and aerospace, and tackling the difficult problems of key material localization; third, expanding domestic and overseas market channels, while simultaneously laying the foundation for listing in terms of capital and governance.

Following the C and C+ rounds, the D round equity financing plan is being steadily advanced. Consecutive capital support confirms the capital market's recognition of the domestic high-end metal powder localization track, as well as Weilai's technical route and product strength. In the future, Weilai will adhere to the dual main lines of technological innovation and capacity expansion, deeply cultivate the high-end metal powder track, enhance the independent and controllable capabilities of the domestic new material industry and supply chains, and strive towards the goal of building a leading domestic and world-class metal new material enterprise.
