Most MIM producers buy their feedstock on the open market. Newlife takes a different approach: the MIM division starts one step earlier, producing its own ultrafine iron powder with a controlled particle size distribution — D50 down to 3 μm — and low oxygen content below 4500 ppm.

Powder quality decides feedstock quality, and feedstock quality decides molding stability and final density. By controlling the powder, we control the whole chain: mixing and granulating the powder with about 40 vol% polymer binder into homogeneous feedstock, injection molding at around 190 °C, catalytic or thermal debinding, and high-temperature sintering in vacuum or atmosphere-protected furnaces.

This end-to-end capability spans six material platforms — stainless steel, iron base alloy, soft magnetic alloy, copper alloy, non-magnetic steel and high density tungsten alloy — supported by more than 20 sintering furnaces and a full secondary-processing shop for sizing, CNC finishing, heat treatment, polishing and plating.

For customers, in-house powder means shorter development cycles, faster material adjustments and consistent quality from the first article to million-piece production runs. It is the foundation on which our OEM and ODM services have been built since 2003.
